Dr. Ukpeh is a Consulting Pediatrician at KBRH and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Passionate about the care of children, he was awarded the first Certificate of Merit of the Canadian Pediatric Society for outstanding commitment to the welfare of children and youth in his community in 2005.
Dr. Ukpeh believes that childhood is about change. So is adulthood. Children go from dependent babies to functional young adults willfully and with effort. In his book “Only be afraid of Standing Still – practical lessons from the lives of children” he applies the lessons of childhood to managing the change of adulthood. In private or professional lives, one is best able to cope with life’s changes by managing the four selves™ – private, public, perceived and potential. This is the basis for his seminars and workshops.
