
You are familiar with gravity in matters of weight. Gravity acts on everything. Depending on the nature of what it is acting on, some are heavy, others are light. These qualities make them suited for different roles, so that a steel ball has a different function from a cotton ball. The same applies to us. Gravity does not just act on our body; it affects our innate tendencies and accounts for our position and role in life. Where we are is a result of the choices we make. Some people are best suited to be teachers, others healers.
Though I could not articulate it then, my high school math teacher demonstrated this concept rather well. I was one of only twelve children (out of sixty) who decided to sign up for his applied math class.
The seats in the class were arranged in seven horizontal rows. At the first session, he made us all sit at the fourth row. He did not explain what he was doing but his intentions soon became clear.
